"AND LET US NOT GROW WEARY WHILE DOING GOOD, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

Comment: A believer is admonished not to grow weary in doing good, for in due season, he or she shall reap If they do not lose heart.
Whatever you are doing that is good; either in your own life for your spiritual growth, or in another person's or people's life, either to meet their physical or spiritual needs; the good gesture would be reaped or harvested.
If you feed yourself or other people with the Word of God, It would be reaped or harvested (Galatians 6:7,8).
And If you also feed people with physical food, or help them meet their material needs, you will reap it, If you do not lose heart or weary (Galatians 6:9).

Consistency is a major thing that is required and being emphasized in the passage. Whether feeding yourself or other people with the Word of God, or feeding people with physical food and attending to their physical, material and emotional needs; consistency, never giving up, is needed If there would be an harvest. The condition for reaping or harvest is never given up—when you do not lose heart or stop the good work.
The emphasis here is, a believer who is doing a good thing should not get wearied in the doing of it (Galatians 6:9).
At times If you did not know the importance and the reason why you are doing whatever good you are doing, though a good thing, you may become weary and grumpy or irritable in the doing of it.
Note:
a. You surely would have challenges, obstacles, and confrontations; either from the people you are doing it for, or those who are stirred or motivated from the kingdom of darkness to distract you and cause you to be wearied and give up.
b.A number of disreputable humans would always be there or show up to disrupt whatever good thing that is being done.
The purpose of such challenges which is mainly from the devil is to distract you and cause you to be wearied and stop the good thing you are doing.

Another thing is, If the good you are doing is tainted or coloured or had ulterior motives; It might not receive God's approval and blessings.
The harvest of the good you are doing would be based on the motives with which you are doing it.
a. What has propelled you to be doing It.
b. Are you doing it to show off and boost your egos?
c. Would God be glorified through it?
There are a lot of people trying to give to the Needy today; the question is: What are the motives behind it? Are you trying to do it to vaunt or boast and prove that you have arrived, you are higher than some other people, when It comes to financial success.
Believers in Christ Jesus cannot copy the pattern of the world in doing whatever they wanted to do. The biblical standard on giving is:
1 “TAKE HEED THAT YOU DO NOT DO YOUR CHARITABLE DEEDS BEFORE MEN, TO BE SEEN BY THEM. OTHERWISE YOU HAVE NO REWARD FROM YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN. 2 Therefore, WHEN YOU DO A CHARITABLE DEED, DO NOT SOUND A TRUMPET BEFORE YOU AS THE HYPOCRITES DO IN THE SYNAGOGUES AND IN THE STREETS, THAT THEY MAY HAVE GLORY FROM MEN. Assuredly, I SAY TO YOU, THEY HAVE THEIR REWARD. 3 BUT WHEN YOU DO A CHARITABLE DEED, DO NOT LET YOUR LEFT HAND KNOW WHAT YOUR RIGHT HAND IS DOING, 4 THAT YOUR CHARITABLE DEED MAY BE IN SECRET; AND YOUR FATHER WHO SEES IN SECRET WILL HIMSELF REWARD YOU OPENLY" (Matthew 6:1-4 NKJV).
If the Bible injunctions or dictates on any particular matter are not followed or obeyed to the letter, the consequences of whatever good is being done would be calamitous. Instead of having a blessing as a reward or harvest, regret or sorrow would be the harvest.
Peace.
