Virtues of Jesus' Resurrection

By virtues, we mean provision, values and benefits Jesus' resurrection brought to us. It must never be said that there is anything Jesus died for that you are not enjoying. However you need knowledge to enjoy them. In Proverbs 24:13-14 scripture says, 

"My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste; so shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul; when thou has found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off". 

Honey refers to the sweet word of God and the honeycomb means a deeper and sweeter dimension of the word. It is the knowledge of wisdom that guarantees our expectation, not necessarily our work. You need knowledge to enjoy life. Knowledge is a shield, you can misbehave to the devil based on your knowledge. The degree of your knowledge determines what you overcome and what overcomes you. Knowledge is principle to rising, in fact, it is your depth of knowledge that determines your height of rising. Many joke with knowledge, and this has been the bane of their progress. There's a hurt-free zone; as you read this post and acquire knowledge, you and your family will come to that zone henceforth. In Isaiah 11:9, scripture says, 

"They shall not hurt not destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea". 

From the scripture above, the hurt free zone is accessible through knowledge. It is knowledge that brings you into a rest round about realm; by the word of faith, you can sit down to program yourself into rest roundabout. If you're lazy at the word, you can never be a winner. Proverbs 24:14 says, 

"When you have found it, there shall be a reward...". 

All you need is in the word, it will make your family to shine. Inside the word is money, food, everything. The knowledge of the truth is the greatest catalyst of our destinies.

There is one thing the resurrection provides us that you need to celebrate all the time, the resurrection gives you and your family victory over death and all its agents, for instance, if you are armed with the right knowledge some things will naturally run away from troubling you; sickness will run away from you. In Romans 8:11, 

"But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you".

You need a beautiful body to deliver a beautiful destiny, your family will be known for long life by the resurrection power. All harassment over your family will come to an end, if you have a good understanding of the power of resurrection. 

Jesus took our place in death, so that we might take his life. Jesus took the keys of death and hell, Satan no longer has the power to kill, Revelation 1:18. The only one that has the key has the authority; Satan has lost authority, he can no longer determine what happens to you. When he comes all you need do is to confront him with the truth. Understanding is light, and when light comes, darkness disappears, therefore get understanding. By dying, Jesus destroyed him that used to have the power to kill. In Hebrews 2:14-15, scripture says, 

"For as much as then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage". 

Satan have no more say about your destiny. You need to understand that Jesus went to hell to collect the key of death from Satan. Little wonder scripture says in 1 Corinthians 12:52-57, 

"...Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?... But thanks be to God, which give us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ". 

Jesus has given us victory over death; when he gave up the ghost, Satan gave up the key of death.

As terrible as death, is it is a choice, you can refuse it. In the Deuteronomy 30:19, God says, 

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live". 

By Jesus resurrection, God has reduced death to choices. If you reject death, then resist it, anything you don't resist has the right to persist over you. 

The first benchmark for life span given by God was 120 years (Genesis 6:3), then we also have 80 years as stated by Moses in Psalm 90:10, and the examples of our covenant fathers dying at a good old age is available for our strength. Abraham died at a good old age of 175 years (Genesis 25:7-8), Isaac died at the age of 180 years (Genesis 35:28). Galatians 4:28 scripture says, 

"Now we brethren as Isaac was, are the children of promise". 

That means we belong to the same inheritance with Isaac, one of which is longevity. According to Galatians 3:13-14, whatever blessings Abraham had we access them through faith in Jesus.  When Jesus said, "It is finished" on the cross, one of the things he finished is early death. Jesus left here (earth) early, so that you might live here (earth) longer. 

You need this understanding to confront death and devil. The price for your long life has been paid by Jesus' death. According to 1 Thessalonian 4:1-3, 14, as Christians we don't die, we only sleep because Jesus has delivered us from death. Since those that sleep, sleep in the night (1 Thessalonian 5:7b). This knowledge will keep you healthy and destroy every harassment of death.
