Fundamentals of Beauty: Absolute Dependence On God.

Where is your strength? In whom or what do you make your boast? Is it in your certificate, your uncle or what? The truth is that no one qualifies to be trusted outside your maker. A lot of Christians at crippled today because, even though they are serving God, they don't depend on him. The truth is that you can't trust him and be put to shame. However, very few Christians really trust God. In Jeremiah 17:5-6, scripture says 

"Thus said the Lord, cursed be the man that trusted in man and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart depart from the Lord...".

 Any man trusting another man is carrying a curse. Don't trust people to the point that you think they can never disappoint. The cheapest way to be frustrated in life is to trust people or even yourself absolutely. In contrary to the verse of scripture above, verse 7 and 8 says, 

"Blessed is the man that trusted in the Lord, and who's hope the Lord is..." 

 The summary of the above scripture is that the man that trust the Lord will have his life beautified. There is the law of absolute dependence on God; not many people fulfill this law. Man is not designed to depend on himself or another; in fact, man after the fall in the garden of Eden became  undependable and unreliable all the time. In Jeremiah 10:23 scripture says, 

"O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps". 

No man can direct or depend on himself. Until there is change inside you, there will not be changes around you. It will interest you to know that behind every beautiful story of men that did great exploits in the things of God, you will find absolute dependence on him. Even after you have fasted and prayed God still checks, whether or not you depend on him totally. Because if he gives you your desired blessings without your dependence on him, he's not sure who you will give the glory to. In Psalm 127:1-2 scripture says, 

"Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it...". 

Without the Lord, every effort to get anything done is a joke. The above scripture together with some others quoted below, commonly shows that God's factor is the greatest factor that counts in the school of beauty.

 "So then it is not of him that willeth but of God that showeth mercy". Romans 9:16, 

"For by strength shall no man prevail 1 Samuel 2:9. 

Paul the Apostle says in 1 Corinthians 15:10, 

"But by the grace of God I am what I am...". 

That means if you think that I am anything, it is by the God factor. Be a professional in trusting God, it will help your destiny. Here's what this professional "truster" in God says in Psalm 20:7-8,

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God". 

The one that says, "...I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way, that thou shouldst go...", is the only that qualifies to be trusted.

How Do You Depend On God To Ensure Your Beauty?

1. Make sure he alone is the one that you are looking unto. Destroy every other alternatives, God is a jealous God, he can't stand alternatives. God is your only source, men are just channels. If one channel closes seven other channels can be opened by the source. Channels can disappoint, but the source can never run dry. In Psalm 62:5-6, David addressing his soul says, 

"My soul, wait thou only on God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be moved". 

When you trust God, you are not moved as to whether anything you are expecting to get from men will be giving to you or not; And if it is not given to you, you have confidence to go back to your source. When you trust God, you allow him to prove himself in your life, and when he does, your beauty is enhanced. In Psalm 34:5, scripture says, 

"They look unto him, and were lightened; and their faces were not ashamed". 

You can't be put to shame looking unto him. Outside God, nothing can be done. Jesus says 

"For without me you can do nothing" John 15:5.

2.Trust him always and all the time. When things are working, trust him, when things are not working, still trust him. Tell him, "Lord I trust you". In Psalms 62:8, David says 

"Trust in him at all times; ye people...".

3. Confess your dependency on him, both in his sight and the sight of others. Confess what you trust him for, confess it to God, people and yourself. Job says "I know my redeemer liveth". In Isaiah 51, Isaiah said 

"For the Lord God will help me, therefore shall I not be confounded". 

Don't confess the problems, don't say, "this thing is too difficult", rather say, "I know God will help me", confess what you expect God to do only. Don't keep quite, a closed mouth is a closed destiny.

4. Praise him genuinely. Praise is an expression of your trust and dependence on God. In Psalm 34:1-3,the  Psalmist says, 

"I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continue be in my mouth...". 

If you praise him at all times, it is a proof that you trust him at all times.

 5. By praising his word irrespective of what is happening. The Psalmist in Psalm 56:4 says, 

"In God I will praise his word, in God I will put my trust...". 

Praising his word means celebrating what is written in spite of what is happening, it may not be desirable, as you do so, what is written will swallow up what is happening.

6. By thinking his word and expecting it to happen in your life. It is not enough to quote it, you must expect it to come to pass.
