Invest your Time, Talents and Treasures in God

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1Cor 15:56-58, NIV)

As the verse above says, our labor in the Lord is the only one that follows us to eternity. For the secular job we do, we receive our wages here and that is it.

But God gives us rewards and inheritance, because we are His children

If we owe God so much at the end of our life, we will have a negetive account in heaven. I don’t know what kind of assignment such people will have in heaven, to work and pay off their debt. I don’t think there are any kitchen jobs there!

On the other hand, there are many who work hard for the Lord, who have a big deposit in heaven. They will be the most blessed ones there

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Cor 15:58, NKJV)

Our responsibility is not only to do the work of the Lord always, but also to abound (increase) in His work. It should not be our “If I get time” business!

Invest your time, talents and treasures in God (not Gold). You will never regret!

We have God’s guarantee. He will cover all losses if any, way better than any Government can cover us.

Prayer for today:
Lord Jesus, it is a privilege to do your work. Thank you for this blessed opportunity, which even the angels in heaven are looking into, but are not allowed to do. Help us to make the most of every opportunity to do your work. Amen
