Food for Thought (#41) Angelic Assistance

The question before us is ”HOW DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT GUARD US IN THE STORM?”

No one can fully answer that question. The Holy Spirit is too vast, too multifaceted and mysterious in operation for any human being to adequately understand, let alone explain His work.

Psalm 91:11-12

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

There is an angel assigned to you as a child of God. You may never see them, nor sense their presence, but be assured there is never a moment that you are left unprotected by your angel. God’s angels can manifest in any form just to carry out the assignment of heaven in your life.

Every evidence in the story of Jonah points to the truth that the fish that swallowed him was an angel.

1. How did the fish know exactly where and when Jonah was to be thrown into the sea to position itself there?

2.There is no fish with a throat big enough to swallow a full grown man. When fishes attack human beings for food, they bite off pieces of flesh. If this fish can swallow a man, then it is not an ordinary fish.

3.How can a man survive in the belly of a fish for 3 days and nights without air? The air supply of a fish is not in the intestines but in the special air sac used to determine its buoyancy. Jonah’s supply of air and life was heavenly.

4.Fishes don’t speak human languages. Jonah could never have communicated with the fish about where God had sent him to. So for the fish to know where exactly to swim to and vomit Jonah, it must have instructions from God. It was not coincidence.

5.The truth therefore is that Jonah was not swallowed by just a fish. That fish was an angel on assignment.

Is it not comforting to know that Heaven will deploy every available resources to ensure that you succeed in the storm!
