Judas had earlier struck a deal with the government to deliver Jesus to the Police. They offered him $30,000 and a 5-bedroom duplex in any city of his choice within the country. No one knew of his plans except his best friend, Justus.
"Hey man! They just paid me $30,000 cash! Fresh bills man! I'm getting the documents to my duplex once they have him in custody." Judas said excitedly.
"Wow! Great news. Congrats! I hope they won't hurt him though, because Jesus is a nice guy.." Justus said.
"I know what I'm doing. I know Jesus more than you do. The angels of God always protect him, so there is no way the Police can arrest him. I have seen him escape mob attacks before.
Someone who can calm a raging storm can also incapacitate a Police formation. All he needs to do is speak the word, and the Police men will vanish into thin air!"
"I have studied his lifestyle. He is a man of power, so no one can hurt him. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, I can't let it slip by..I have to go now, Justus," Judas abruptly ended the video call as Mathias beckoned to him to join the rest of them.
"Everything I have always taught you will soon make sense to you. In a few hours from now, it will all be set. Humanity is about to experience an unparalleled event in history.
Life will be restored, the gap between God and man is about to be bridged," Jesus said as he stared into the eyes of his most trusted men.
