Proper Way to Pray According to God

오늘은 '하나님이 말씀하시는 기도의 방식'이라는 제목으로 한번 생각해보도록 하겠습니다.
I would like to talk about what is a proper way to pray, according to God Almighty.

아시다시피, 저는 성령이 내주하는 기도훈련을 하는 사역을 하고 있습니다.
As you know by now, my job is to train people to pray properly.

그러나 우리네 교회는 저의 사역에 의구심을 가지고 바라보고 있죠.
But many churches look at me with doubts.

왜냐하면 그들은 영접기도를 하면 성령이 즉시 들어오신다고 가르치고 있기 때문입니다.
It's because they are taught the Holy Spirit comes into them right away, as soon as they finish reciting the acceptance prayer.

그런데, 성령이 내주하는 기도훈련을 시킨다고 '이건 또 뭐지?' 하면서 이단일지도 모른다며 교인들에게 문단속을 시키고, 의혹스런 눈초리로 쳐다보고 있습니다.
And they question my motives and even consider me and my academy as false religion, when I say that I train people to pray so that the Holy Spirit can live within them.

그래서 저는, 아예 기도훈련을 배우고 싶은 사람을 받는 게 아니라, 정신질환이나 고질병을 비롯해서 세상에서 해결할 수 없는 삶의 문제가 있는 사람들을 받아 훈련시키고 있습니다.
So I only take people who have problems that cannot be resolved by humans as my students. People with mental disorders and other chronic illnesses would be part of them.

하나님은 전지전능하신 분으로, 못하시는 일이 없는 분이시기 때문이죠.
God is almighty and powerful, and there is nothing he can't do.

또한 제가 가르치는 기도훈련은 오로지 성경에 기록되어있는 하나님의 뜻을 철저하게 따르고 있습니다.
And what I teach is strictly according to Bible, according to what God has told us.

그래서 그런지 제가 인터넷 다음카페를 열고 지금까지 4500명에 가까운 회원들이 등록을 했고 충주에 영성학교를 열고 지금까지 1000여명이 넘는 사람들이 영성학교를 찾아왔었습니다.
And ever since I have opened the website on Daum, about 4500 people have joined, and people over 1000 people came to my academy in ChoongJoo.

그러므로 제 사역이 성경적인지 혹은 성령의 능력이 나타나는지 확인해보시면 혹세무민하는 이단의 교주인지 그리 어렵지 않게 알 수 있겠죠.
You will be able to tell whether my ministry really is biblical and have the power of Holy Spirit, or a demon-driven cult operation.

그 동안 인터넷에 제가 이단이라고 주장하는 사람들이 전혀 없었던 것은 아니지만 그들의 주장은 자의적으로 해석한 성경구절을 들이대거나 자의적인 자신의 판단이나 느낌을 말하는 것이였기 때문에 지금까지 그들의 주장은 찻잔속의 태풍에 불과했습니다.
There have been people who claim that I am a cult leader, but many times, the proofs they listed were weak; they were just arbitrary interpretation of Bible and their feelings toward me.

그러나 충주 영성학교 공통체가 이제 100여명이 넘는 수준이지만, 그래서 대다수의 교인들이 제 영성학교에 별다른 관심을 갖지 않고 있어요.
CSA has been steadily growing, too, with over 100 people attending, but many people don't pay attention to it.

그렇지만, 영성학교가 나중에 너무 많이 커지게 되면 이들에게서 돌멩이가 날아올 날도 있겠죠.
I am pretty certain that there will be the day when my academy would be under attack.

왜냐하면, 그들이 시행하거나 인정하는 방식이 아니기 때문이죠.
I am sayting this because the academy doesn't follow the way people acknowledge as "right."

그래서 오늘은 제가 시행하는 기도방식이 성경적인지, 혹은 성령의 능력이 나타나는지 살펴보고 싶습니다.
So I would like to explain and talk to you about if my way of praying is biblical, and if the Holy Spirit approves.

먼저 성령께서 제게 말씀해주신 기도에 대한 내용을 먼저 읽어드릴게요.
Let me recite some of what the Holy Spirit has told me about praying:

입으로 나를 찾는 자는 기도의 본질을 모르는 자이다.
People who seek me with their mouths do not know the essence of prayer.

기도의 본질은 나이고, 자기도 알 수 없는 자를 만나는 것이므로 그 분이 누구인지 알려면 마음으로 만날 분을 사모하고 이름을 부르면서 자기에게 오시도록 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하고 나를 찾아오시도록 보이지 아니하고 들리지 아니한다해도 오직 기도하는 일에 모든 집중을 다해서 일상에서도 기도하는 마음이 떠나지 아니하고 자기에게 오시도록 집요하게 조르는 것이다.
I am the essence. Praying is the way of meeting me, who you cannot even fathom. If you want to meet Father and know who he is, you need to call out to him and ask him to come to you. Even if you cannot see or hear him, focus on your prayer and tenaciously ask him for his attention, no matter what you do.

모든 이들이 이 기도를 하지 않고, 중도에 포기하고 내가 그들을 만나려고 주리고 목마를 자와 오로지 나를 찾고자 하는 것을, 혹독한 마음을 읽었을 때에 내가 그를 만나려고 했는데, 그들은 중도에 포기하고 자기들의 입으로 하나님은 자기에게 오시지 않는다는 불평만 하고 있다.
No one prays this way, and many give up in the process. I do not meet anyone unless they show how desperate they are to meet me. But only thing they do is complain about my absence.

이렇게 기도하는 자는 어떤 일에서든지 인내하지 아니하고 자기 고집대로 모든 일을 하나님 없이도 자기 일을 하겠다는 사람이다.
People who pray like this will never be patient enough to do anything; they are stubborn and are willing to do whatever they want without God.

이러한 사람은 나를 만날 수도, 나는 그런 사람의 하나님도 아님을 알 것이라.
These people cannot meet me, for I am not their God.

모든 사람들이 이런 기도를 하고, 정성스럽고, 끈질긴 자들이 나를 만나는 것이지, 조급하고 자기 중심으로 나를 만나려고 하는 사람은, 나도 그들을 만날 수 없다는 것을 알려라.
People who pray desperately and tenaciously will meet me. I cannot meet people who pray in a hurry, according to their wants and needs.

위의 말씀은 오래전에 성령께서 저희 부부에게 말씀하신 내용입니다.
These are the words of the Holy Spirit that were given to me and my wife.

많은 이들에게 알리라는 명령에 의해서 영성학교의 기도훈련 주제인 성경적인 기도가이드의 첫장에 올려놓았고 동일한 이름의 다음카페 게시판에도 제가 올려놓은 그런 내용입니다.
I was told to spread the word to many people as I can, so I have written in the book called Biblical Prayer Guide, as well as on my site under the same title.

이 말씀을 간추려보면 하나님을 만나는 기도는 혹독하고 끈기있게 하나님을 불러서 하나님이 자신을 찾아오도록 간구해야한다는 내용입니다.
To shorten his words in a simple sentence, you must call and seek God desperately and tenaciously and ask him to come to you, if you want to meet him.

그러나 우리네 교회는 이렇게 가르침이 없어요.
But no one today teaches that.

영접기도를 하면 성령이 자신안에 들어와있기 때문에 교회 기도회에 모여서 자신들이 원하는 기도의 목록을 주구장창 간구하면 들어주실 거라고 가르치며 시행하고 있습니다.
Church today teaches you that you can recite your wish list and God will give what you want, since the Holy Spirit already lives within you after you accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

물론 자신들의 주장을 합리화 시키는 성경의 구절을 자의적으로 해석해서 그 근거를 제시하기도 합니다.
And sometimes, people interpret the Bible on their own and present that as a proof of their religious well-being.

그러나 저의 기도훈련 방식의 근거는 성경말씀을 글자 그대로 제시하고 자의적인 해석을 덧붙이지 않습니다.
But my prayer training is strictly based on the Bible, and there is no interpretations for it.

신명기 4: 29을 보세요.
Let's take a look at Deuteronomy 4: 29.

"만일 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 그를 찾으면 만나리라"
"But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul."

예레미야 29: 13에 "너희가 온 마음으로 나를 구하면 나를 찾을 것이요 나를 만나리라"
From Jeremiah 29: 13: "ou will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

잠언 8: 17에도 "나를 간절히 찾는 자가 나를 만날 것이니라"
In Proverbs 8: 17: "I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me."

그 유명한 예수님의 말씀인 "구하라 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그러면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니 하늘아버지께서 구하는 자에게 성령을 주시지 않겠느냐 하시니라"
And the famous quote: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened...how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"

유명한, 예수님께서 말씀하신 내용이죠.
The famous word of Jesus.

위의 성경 구절은 제가 훈련하는 혹독하고 끈기있는 기도의 방식의 근거로 자주 인용하고 있는 구절들입니다.
These are the passages I mention a lot as references for the proper way to pray.

위의 말씀의 공통점은 하나님을 만나려면 마음을 다하여 전심으로 간절히 찾아와야 한다는 것이죠.
They all have one phrase in common. You need to seek him with all your heart.

그런데 어떻게 1분짜리 영접기도에 아멘하기만 하면 성령께서 즉시, 자동적으로 들어오신다는 게 말이 되겠습니까?
Then the Holy Spirit coming into you right after reciting the acceptance prayer just doesn't make sense, does it?

물론 우리네 교회들도 자신들의 주장이 하나님의 뜻임을 주장하는 근거로 '사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고 입으로 시인하여 구원을 이루게 된다' 로마서 10: 10의 구절을 들이대고 있습니다.
Of course, the church present Romans 10: 10 as the proof to their claim: "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."

그러나 자신이 예수를 믿는다고 하면 성령이 안에 들어오시고 구원을 얻게 된다고, 이렇게 말하고 있죠.
So they say, "If you believ and profess, you will receive."

여기서 시인한다는 뜻은 헬라어 단어인 '오모로게인' (오몰로게오)이라는 단어인데, 이는 신앙 고백을 하거나 자신의 죄를 고백할 때 쓰이는 단어입니다.
The word profess in Greek is "homologeo," which is used when you confess your sins or profess your faith.

그래서 초대 교회 교인들이 예수를 믿는다면 죄다 목숨을 걸어야했던 이유이죠.
And the followers of early church risked their lives to make such confession, having faith in Jesus Christ.

그래서 우리네 교인들은 목숨을 걸고 예수를 그리스도로 믿고 고백하는 삶을 살아가고 있습니까?
But do people today risk their lives to profess their faith and follow the early followers' footsteps?

또 다른, 우리네 교회에서 주장하는 근거의 성경구절은 '영접하는 자, 곧 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 주셨다'라는 요한복음 1: 12 말씀을 들이대고 있는데 이것도 한번 생각해봅시다.
People also use John 1: 12 often: "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

영접하다라는 단어는 헬라어로 '엘라본'이라는 그런 단어로써 '받아들이다'라는 뜻입니다.
The word "receive" comes from the Greek word "elabon," which means to accept or to be given.

이 말은 평생동안 전인격적으로 예수님을 전지전능하신 하나님으로 받아들이며 살아가겠다년 결연한 신앙고백이죠.
This is confession of your faith for life, accepting Christ as God Almighty.

그러나 천국보험에 드는 심정으로 그냥 입으로 내뱉는 행위로 이야기하는 것이 아닙니다.
It is not something you can just recite outloud, as an insurance plan that would get you to heaven.

그러나 안타깝게도 우리네 교회는 성경말씀을 자의적으로 왜곡되게 해석하고 손쉽고 값싼 복음을 팔아서 구원을 바겐 세일하고 있습니다.
But church today interpret the scripture however they'd like, selling easy and cheap gospel like a Black Friday sales event.

그러나 우리네 교회에서, 먼지만도 못한 저의 주장을 진지하게 생각하는 이들도 드물게 있겠죠.
I hope there is at least somebody that will listen to what I say.

그래서 과연 우리네 교회의 기도방식이 성령의 능력이 나타나는지 검증해보라고 제가 말씀드리는 것입니다.
I am saying this so that you can see for yourself; does your church have the power of the Holy Spirit?

마태복음 21: 22에, "너희가 기도할 때에 무엇이든지 믿고 구하는 것은 다 받으리라 하시니라."
It says in Matthew 21: 22, "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

또한 "이르시되 너희 믿음이 작은 까닭이니라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알 만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라." 예수님의 그 유명한 마태복음 17: 20 말씀입니다.
Also, the famous word of Jesus from Matthew 17: 20, "He replied, 'Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'”

또 "믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며 뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라 하시더라 " 마가복음 16: 17-18 말씀입니다.
Here is another one from Mark 16: 17-18, "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

제가 말씀드리는 성경구절은 믿는 자들의 기도가 100% 응답이 내려오고, 놀라운 기적과 이적을 드러내게 된다고 약속하고 있죠.
All these verses I am mentioning says that you will get what you ask and work miracles.

그러나 아쉽게도 우리네 교회에서는 귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 고치는 기도의 능력이 사라진지 오래되었으며 기도응답이 내려오지 않자 교인들은 기도자리에서 사라지고 새벽잠이 없는 노인들과 목회자들의 눈치를 봐야하는 교회 집권자들만이 기도시간을 떼우고 있는 실정입니다.
Unfortunately, the church today don't have the power mentioned in the Bible. And because there is no answer from God, people left; only remaining ones are the people who still have power and authority in church that like to boast in front of other and the old that don't sleep as much.

지금 운영하는 영성학교도 문을 연지 2년이 훌쩍 넘었으며 1000명이 넘는 사람들이 이곳을 찾아왔었죠.
It has been over 2 years since CSA opened, and over 1000 people have visited the academy.

그러면 이곳에서 어떤 기적과 이적이 일어나고 성령이 내주하는 능력에 대해 확인하고 싶다면 다음 카페 영성학교 졸업생 게시판을 참고하거나 직접 영성학교를 찾아와서 사람들에게 확인해보면 알 것입니다.

그러나 이렇게 말해도 확인하려는 시도조차 하지 않는 사람들이 대부분일 것입니다. 왜냐하면 자신들이 믿는 게 허구라는 사실을 받아들이는게 두렵기 때문이죠.
I'm pretty sure many people will go back to their lives, not even try to take a look, because they are afraid to admit that what they've been believing is false.

그러나 아무리 외면하고 무시해도 심판대 앞에서의 지옥의 판결만은 결코 피하지 못할 것입니다.
But know this; you cannot avoid the judgment in front of your creator, no matter how much you ignore and look away.
