Take a worship break!
Life can be overwhelming sometimes. Demands, burdens and stress accumulate and seem to suffocate us. Maybe you are worried about something, or maybe you prayed and hoped that your needs and desires will be met, but time passed by and no answer came yet. So you're overwhelmed, discouraged, or disappointed.
I encourage you today to do something that might seem out of ordinary for some. Take a worship break! Yes, but do it knowing that worship it's not about you, but about God! It doesn't matter how you feel, just worship acknowledging who God is: He is a good, good Father and He has good plans for you, His child. Worship knowing that, even though you haven't seen His hand of provision for your need just yet, His heart is for you! Worship knowing that you are His beloved child, and He delights having you in His presence.
Worship knowing that in His presence, anxiety and uncertainty disappear, because He shows you who He is and who you are in Him. Worship knowing that in His presence things and circumstances become clear, the problems take another meaning, and you receive advice and guidance.
Worship knowing that in His presence, gossip, dissatisfaction, criticism, negativity, lack of forgiveness, sarcasm and anger disappear. Worship knowing that, when His presence comes down, your soul and your body is healed.
Worship meditating on His nature, on His amazing and never ending love for you.
Set aside anything you are doing right now and take a little bit of time, find a cozy place and ask the Holy Spirit to show to you just how worthy of praise your Father and your Savior, Jesus, is. He will come upon you and His presence will fill the room.
We are going to spend eternity worshiping God. Why not start practicing this right now, on a daily basis? When you see His goodness and His beauty, your natural response will be worship.
