Only Through Humility Can You Hear My Voice

Can you hear the Holy Spirit when he talks to you
Or are you to busy dealing with all of your stuff
Do you spend lots of time and money keeping your stuff safe
Is a ten-foot wall high enough

Do you worship God like you go to work
In the end, it is just something you do
Are you so wrapped up in your personal desires
God gets one day and the other six are for you

Do you go to a church that is nice and comfortable
With only the best and locks on every door
You put on your fancy clothes and go worship God in comfort
But do nothing for the homeless and the poor

What a gift to have God's spirit talk to you
How sad you are so complacent and dumb
You're so wrapped up in the world that you do not listen
You always explain away where the voice is coming from

God the Father is trying to talk to you
But you have become so wicked that you cannot hear
There is no pain on earth that compares with Hell
God's the only one you should fear
