The Demon called "EXCUSE"

I'd briefly be sharing on the a subject I titled A Demon called Excuse.

First I want to define Excuse;

Excuse -: Seeking to lessen the blame attaching it to a fault or an offence.

In other words trying to justify your actions or trying to justify why you couldn't fulfill a particular task.

I want us to understand that God has called us to live a life beyond and above excuses, because excuses Dampens the Anointing. It cuts God off from what he wanted to do through you.

In our daily lives, we give reasons for not being able to achieve a goal.

Ohh I was tired, I wasn't feeling too good.

But we must understand that when God gives us an assignment, we can't delay.

When we give excuses, we tend to first tell God it's impossible, then second cut of the grace or put in vain the grace of God released for that assignment.

God knows about our situations and circumstances before he gives us any assignment. Thing is, he expects us to live beyond those circumstances. Why? Because we are in the world, but not of the world.

We have come to mount Zion, the city of the living God, to a company of innumerable angels.

We are not alone, so it's a mindset to be developed.

An example I would love to point is in

[Luk 14:16-21/KJV] 16: Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: 17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. 18 And they all with one consent began to make Excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me Excused. 19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me Excused. 20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. 21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

From this example we can see the wrath of the master was released because of Excuses. Like the excuses were solid and for me, I think I would have understood. Someone just married, he's going for honeymoon and some master is calling for his audience in a party. He just finished having a party he doesn't need another, but the bible recorded that the master was angry!!!!!!

So does God when he calls. He wants to call us anytime and we obey. He's not a man. So that phrase "God would understand" is an insult to his Personality.

If he knew it was impossible for you to do it, he would not have given you in the first place. He's a wise God!!!

OTHER FEW POINTS TO GIVE SOME THOUGHTS

■ Excuse makes you unwilling to perform.

■ Excuse gives you reasons why you cannot do what you should.

■ Excuses make you to consider other negative factors.

■ Excuses make you point fingers or blame others for not doing what is expected of you.

■ Excuses brings limitations.

■ Excuses hinders faith and the power of faith.

IN CONCLUSION

When we allow this demon called Excuse into our life's agenda, we introduce delay, walking out of God's assignment for our lives. The devil can sway our attention away. We begin to fight battles we were not called to. You start wondering does God really love me?

He does, but there's no protection outside his Will for our lives, so let's make up our minds to live above and beyond excuses.

Souls needs to be saved. What excuse are you giving. It's time to throw excuses out that window. You have the grace for your assignment else God would raise up stones to do the work!
