Luke 23: 33-43
And so they led my blessed Saviour down to Golgotha
He turned around and felt the brokenness of His own mother
The Soldiers whipped Him harder
But each stroke made Him stronger

They nailed Him to the carved tree and planted it to the ground
This wasn't done in secrecy as everyone was around
Though Jesus was Divine
He was given soured wine

While the soldiers rationed His clothes by the throw of a dice
Christ was promising a new convert a place in Paradise
They called Him "King of the Jews"
He was to bring the Good News
