What is the Key Question About knowing Jesus?

2018.01.23 question Epic Fail.jpg

The most important Questions? Respectfully I DISAGREE. I disagree because of what Messiah actually SAID concerning this issue. The most important issue is NOT whether WE know Messiah as our Lord and as our Savior, or not. In the end, the most paramount question will be, does Messiah KNOW US? Does Messiah CLAIM US, as truly belonging to Him?Jesus, (Yeshua the Messiah), clearly said that in the end there would be MANY who KNEW Him and called Him their Lord. They will have believed Jesus enough to prophesy in His Name. They will believe Him enough to cast out demons in His Name. They will have believed Him enough even to perform miracles in His Name; and still HE will declare to them, that He never really KNEW them. He will cast them out of His Presence, declaring he never knew them, because they practiced lawlessness, and they DID NOT DO THE FATHER'S WILL, (see Matthew 7:21-23). No, in the end it will not matter whether we KNOW Jesus or not. In the end, the only thing that matters is, will Jesus claim to KNOW US, and will He CLAIM US as His Own? Think about it. When you look at it this way, it changes your entire perspective.

Thought provoking... So then the question is how do be someone that Yeshua claims or knows?

Great Question. Glad you asked. As it is written:

“But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Behold My mother and My brothers! “For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.”” (Matthew 12:48–50, NASB95)

“And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”” (Matthew 19:17, NASB95)

“By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.” (1 John 2:3–6, NASB95)

“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.” (1 John 5:2–3, NASB95)

That's how you do that :)

Clearly a thoughtful message presented well. It's totally true and I agree with you 100%
