The Magnificent Resurrection and Life!

The Easter celebration which marks the remembrance of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is over. During the lent season, there were lots of individuals who indulged in fasting, many also tried as much as possible to ensure they practiced absolute righteousness during that period.

Now that the season is over, so what next? Would the people maintain this practice continuously in their daily living, or they would most likely return to their old system of living which is corrupted by sin. This is one question everyone must ensure to ask, to properly know where each ones faith really lies upon.

One thing everyone must take note of is that, God doesn't care how good a man has been when the present life of such man is nothing to write about. A man might have been close to perfectness in the past due to his will of practicing goodness or righteousness. However, from scriptural documentaries, it is proved that God will ignore that past life if the present one becomes too contrary to it.

What does this mean? The goodness of the old days cannot save a man from the evils of the present. On the other hand, the sins of the past won't affect a man's present when he has accepted Jesus and started a new life of goodness, righteousness, and holiness.

The death of Christ was the blotting out of sin from man, the resurrection was the introduction of a new life and faith. Walking in this new life and faith is all that is needed to secure salvation. The new life doesn't comprised of sweetness only, it is comprised of both trials, tribulations and bitterness. Sad enough, this is one good gospel most people do not want to hear.

The same way Christ faced prosecution, the ones who also believed in him are bound to follow same fate. There are series of biblical proofs to justify the prosecution of the true followers of Christ Jesus. And it is also observed that anyone who tries to run from such fate would be considered as not being genuine, for such act is a sin to the Lord.

Jesus predicted Peter's denial, even if the prediction was doubted by Peter who never believed he could ever deny his master, Peter never knew what kind of circumstance would prompt him to do so. He never knew such fate would come on his way later on.

Whatever the case may be, Christians all over the world have learned that suffering prosecution for Christ's sake is part of the cost of being a true follower of Christ. It is proven that there are some followers who run from accepting and fighting the challenges that are bound to befall Christianity.

This is not a good thing to do, most especially when the long awaited great tribulation comes. This particular Christians won't find it as easy during that time. It is also possible that a Christian may not witness the great tribulation through the aid of death, such individuals will be properly examined and scrutinized by the most sincere or untruthful life they must have lived while on earth. No one can deceive God, he knows those who are really for him, those who are fully prepared not to denounce their faith even if threatened with death.

The works of a man will justify his own salvation, it is very essential for every Christian to maintain the godly life of Christ all day, and also to be fully prepared to undergo any circumstance for Christ's sake. We may suffer here on earth, but the suffering here is for a short time, a lasting reward awaits us in heaven. Chose light and forsake darkness. The choice is yours!
