The Rise of a New Prince and Ruler (Part one)
The Arts of Genesis
A new prince and ruler arose, one of the finest the world has ever seen in the ancient civilization of #Egypt. He answered to none and had the final say on matters concerning the kingdom of Egypt; only in throne was Pharaoh higher than him. He was forged by a mighty hand and with a great deal of toil, subjected and exposed to enormous trials and temptations which dates back to his early days as a young man.
He was born into a polygamous family and a descendant of the order of the patriarchs. His mother was so loved by his father and that fashioned the love of his father towards him. His birth was occasioned by a great contention that when his mother conceived and bares him, she said, God has taken away her reproach and that child was named #Joseph.
Joseph became the ruler in Egypt at the age of thirty years old. On the same day he was birthed into royalty, he was given authority and power over all the land of Egypt including the household of Pharaoh. And none in Egypt had the authority to do anything without his authorization. At the start of his reign, Joseph toured the entire length and breadth of Egypt and in the next seven years to follow he did gather the enormous harvest in the land of Egypt in store of the impending ravenous famine that was to follow as shown to Pharaoh by the lord God Jehovah himself through a dream and it was Joseph who interpreted the dream.
Joseph, before ascending the heights of the Egyptian political hierarchy was a bondman and servant of Portiphar who was an officer of Pharaoh and the captain of his guards. Joseph served Portiphar diligently and did prosper because the lord was with him. He found favour in the sight of his master who elevated him to oversee everything he had except for his meals.
Joseph was a very goody person, well favored, and portiphar’s wife got so fond of him that she wanted him for herself and for them to get sexually involved. But Joseph who was well groomed from a tender age at home knew it was evil and against God’s will and that his master had complete trust in him before setting him over everything he had. She made attempts at him to seduce him to the extent that when her secret and subtle attempts failed, she became more desperate and physical that on one occasion she reached out to him and got hold of his clothing but he left it and fled. Bitter with frustration she went berserk, hated him, implicated him and set him up for attempted rape with the evidence she had.
Prior to this event Joseph had been subjected to Portiphar’s assessment and found exceptional which earned him complete trust from his master, so when the accusation was brought up before him he was disturbed and startled knowing fully well Joseph was incapable of such an art and he knew something was wrong. He however got Joseph detained in the prison a place where Pharaoh’s prisoners are held. Yet the grace and mercy of God concerning his life was at work, he prospered in all his activities therein and he found favor with the keeper of the prison, who put him in charge of all the prisoners. It was there that the chief butler meet with Joseph, it happened that Pharaoh was offended by the chief butler and chief baker that he put them in prison and the captain of the guards put Joseph in charge of them. In time both men had dreams and Joseph being observant noticed their countenance and inquired about their disposition and they related their dreams to him.
The chief butler saw in his dream a vine with three branches and it brought forth ripe grapes and he pressed the grapes into Pharaoh’s cup that was in his hands and served it to Pharaoh while the chief baker saw three white basket on his head with the uppermost containing all manner of baked meat for Pharaoh, but the birds did eat out of the basket. Joseph gave the interpretation thereof to the chief butler as thus, that within three days he will be restored to his position, but requested that he be remembered by the chief butler to present his case before Pharaoh. While he interpreted the chief baker’s dream to mean that in three days the baker would be hanged by Pharaoh. It came to pass that in the process of time Pharaoh had two troubling dreams and there was none to interpret his dreams, it was then that the chief butler remember Joseph whom he had met in prison two years ago and this lend to Joseph’s released for assignment after he had interpreted Pharaoh’s dream.
In #life we should learn to always maintain our poise even in the face of challenges and keep doing what we know how to do best, this will guarantee success at the end of the day. Do not be overtaken or entangled with the affairs that will bring you down.
