URGENT: House of Joy orphanage in India needs help!
Greetings, I seldom sling for a charity, but these people need help. It has been flooding in their area, causing the electricity to shut off and these children left in the dark with no heat. I am fortunate that I have known this leader for about a dozen years or so, and he is straight up legit. He practices what he preaches and I can only hope that I will some day attain his level of integrity.
They need two generators and the wiring to go with them. The estimated cost is about $625 per setup. This is an urgent need, if you can help, please do!
This saint of a man get's very little help from the Indian government. Another sad thing is that many Westerners will start to donate a bit, then just stop; failing to live up to their commitment. If all you can do is toss him your booze, bud, or coffee money, please do; these people need help!
Many of these orphans never lived in a house until they were accepted into the orphanage. Several of them lived in the woods by tree's, the same tree's their parents had lived under. Many of them were absolutely hopeless until they were given the opportunity to stay at the orphanage. They need your help!
Another sad fact, a church friend of mine rallied up a group of young college students to go to India and help with the orphanages. She said that they bickered and fought so much, she was ashamed to have brought them. In fact, she never brought college students again, instead she found that Senior Citizens behaved much better and didn't complain.
This is a photo of him, his wife and family. I've known him since before he got married, so quite a while. He has considerably more integrity than me. It takes quite a person to devote themselves to helping orphans, regardless of religion.
