    @barncat the entire context of the chapter hinges on the very first verse. Here let me post it so you can see plainly.

    And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, YOU CANNOT BE SAVED.”
    Acts 15:1 NKJV

    The entire context of this chapter is about keeping the law for salvation. The law can't save you. Only the blood of the Messiah can save you. What these men from Judea were teaching was faults and that's what the apostles were addressing.

    Now as far as what is or is not truth I submit that what the Bible says is truth is indeed truth.

    Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth.
    Psalms 119:142 NKJV

    God's law is truth.

    Now why do you reject God's law?
