If you sin, not when you sin... Totally different
Read to the end, trust me its a lovely read
I wish it were possible to anoint the head of every Christian preacher so that he would never sin again while the whole world stand. Perhaps some would consider that a happy Way to deal with the subject.
But,in fact, If any person can be removed from the possibility of sin, he or she can only be some kind of robot run with pulleys, wheels and push button. A person morally incapable of doing wrong is incapable of doing good. A free human will is necessary in the concept of morality. I repeat: if our wills are not free to do evil, neither are they free to do good.
That is why I cannot accept the premise that our Lord Jesus could not sin. If He could not sin, then the temptation in the desert was a farce, and God was a party to it. NO. As a human being He could have sinned, but the fact that He would not sin marked Him as the Holy man He was.
It is not the inability to sin that makes a person holy, but his or her unwillingness to sin. A holy person is not one who cannot sin, but one who will not sin.
A truthful person is not one who cannot talk. He or She is one who can talk and could lie, but where he or she cannot be dishonest. An honest person is one who is free to be dishonest, but will not be.
