How does one balance faith and education
I have been a devoted christian since i was in my teens but as I have grown older i am finding it more difficult to keep up the faith .Has anyone else experienced this or i am now a worldly person. The problem is that i have always wanted to achieve more and offer better solutions to society. Somehow though i do feel people at church think that 'she thinks she is educated now and above God'. Which is not the case at all really. However, i do notice that i have come to question some things . For example, they say leaders are ordained by God and can no wrong. I do respect church leaders but i have seen horrible things done by some of them yet we are told never to judge them.
This concept of not judging also baffles me. How does one just turn their eye away from the bad that is being to others . People then go to say 'why does she say this when she is educated'. That is my struggle as a young woman who is a christian and an academic . It has not been easy .Sometimes i find myself not participating in church debates because others will think i am losing my way. However, i have seen that my opinion does matter and that's how we learn , by listening to the views of others and taking what we can to improve our lives. I am bright and it is a gift from God too . We do live on earth and coming up with solutions to help others is part and parcel of it.
God always takes the simplest way.
