"Are you Tired?.." - Daily Word #81
We all get tired even though we may have rested, relaxed or recharged.
I've been feeling a little bit like that, over the last few weeks. After reading a few good articles, I have narrowed it to a couple of the reasons. It is important to be aware of what is draining as this can be a good first step to overcoming this challenge.
Here's a good article to understand the 10 Reasons You're Always Tired (and what you can do about it).
As a Believer, the Bible also makes reference to this "tiredness" which leads to feeling the heaviness of the world around us or the "weariness". In Matthew 11:28 (NLT) it reads...
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you REST." Source
God doesn't want us to worry or carry the challenges all by ourself. He invites us to "Come to Him". It is an open invitation that He still gives out to everyone out there.
And further on the next verses, we see this picture on how "His Yolk is not supposed to be tiresome". Why you might ask? It's because the Yolk is not carried by you alone. The Lord partners us and actually carries it with us!
The Big Question is "Do we trust Him enough with all of our worries, concerns, burdens?"
And are we able to share all our struggles with Him... as we seek Him for a Breakthrough and accept that He is and will always be there for us, even in times of extreme weariness.
I encourage you this day to take the Lord at His Word, and begin to believe that we may enter into His Rest.
Over to you.
Let's unpack the concept of "REST" in days ahead.
Blessings & Shalom.
