OUR RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD

Text 2Corintians 5:21

"For he had made him to be sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made, the righteousness of God in him (i.e. the righteousness of God in Christ)"

DECLARED RIGHTEOUS ON THE BASIS OF WHAT CHRIST DID

His taking our place as our substitute, through His substitutionary sacrifice, we now have a right standing with God in Christ, so that we can boldly enter the throne of Grace, which is the Power House of Faith, without fear, inferiority complex or condemnation.
Because on the platform of His grace, we now have a right standing with God in Christ Jesus.

RIGHTEOUSNESS CONFERRED ON US

Christ righteousness has been conferred on us.
I am not talking about your own righteousness, Which is self righteousness.
Self righteousness, is a righteousness earned by self effort.
Such righteousness that comes through self effort is as filthy rag before God. Isaiah 64:6 buttress this:

" But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

And such righteousness, cannot and will never give man access into the throne room of God, which is the throne of Grace (the Power House of Faith).

The reason is that, you are trying to enter the throne room of God by:

1. Your own way and not through Christ which is the true Way.
   John 14:6
   "Jesus said....I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

2. You are trying to enter by leaning on your own understanding of righteousness. Proverb 3:5 says :
   "...lean not unto your own understanding".

3. You want to enter by your own ability and not by the ability of the Holy Spirit within you. Zechariah 4:6 says:
   "It is not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit (by Holy Spirit) says the Lord."

4. You want to enter because you are now satisfied in yourself, that you are now righteous. The "self" which is the flesh or "carnal self" is a wrong yardstick to measure your right standing with God.
   The reason is that, the flesh profiteth nothing. Right from the fall of man, the flesh has not been profitable to God or man, because man was living under spiritual death, with the nature of satan imparted into his spirit. John 6:63
   "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

5. You qualified yourself instead of allowing God to qualify you.
   Colossians 1:12
   "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:"
   "Made us meet" means "qualify us"

MISUNDERSTANDING THE HOLY SPIRIT INTENTION ON RIGHTEOUSNESS

And we also observed that, many believers, who are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, are able to see their "self righteousness" as filthy rags. The Holy Spirit actually, opens their eyes to see that.
And because that is what they are seeing, they begin to declare, how unworthy they are to approach God's throne. But that was not the intention of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit did not reveal their self righteousness as filthy rags, to condemn them.
Since > #### "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus (inside of Christ Jesus)..." Romans 8:1

REASON FOR REVEALING MAN'S SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS

He revealed it to them, that they will know and understand that, righteousness which is right standing with God, is not what you can earn by self effort.
So that they will quit trying to earn it, and therefore receive it as a Gift from God, given to us, on the platform of His grace, all because of what Christ did (His substitutionary sacrifice) for the entire humanity. And we read in the scripture Romans 5:17

" ..much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. "

THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNES!

The righteous nature of God receive on the platform of grace, as a free gift, grant us full access into the throne room of God, the throne of Grace. Where power of Faith abounds, to receive our heart desires, which are in conformity to His will.
