Love & Marriage 171 - Make a weekly date with your spouse!
I do this type of post regularly to remind you to not let the passion and romance die in your marriage. It is crucial for a healthy and happy marriage. So keep the romance going and have lots of fun!
In our busy lives, it is crucial to make time for the love of our life. The best way to ensure that we spend some quality time together is to make a weekly date. If there are couples who adhere to a weekly date already then you get 100% for this test.
Spouses should make turns to organise date nights, try to keep it interesting and of course really romantic.
Re-create your first date - remembering the Good Old Days
If you can remember the details of your first date, you will have a lot of fun going on a date and to re-create that date. Do exactly what you did on your first date. Scotty and I went to the mall shopping and then we went to play minigolf. (Here it is called put-put.) We were acting silly, laughing a lot and had a lot of fun!
Make a list of your personal special spots and visit from time to time on a date day/night.
It may be a drive around the country where there is beautiful scenery or a special camping spot. A small but intimate restaurant you love or a hill from where you can view a beautiful sunset. No matter where your best memories happened when you go there again it will have a far greater meaning. An ordinary dinner on a night out can turn into a very romantic evening just because of the location and what it means to you.
Pin the Tail on a date Board.
Attach a city or area map to a wall and highlight all the different areas that would be realistic for a date. (restaurants, activities, scenic walks etc.) Blindfold your spouse and explain that this game is similar to Pin the Tail on the Donkey. After spinning her around a few times let her stick a pin into a section of a map. Then take her to the spot closest to where she placed the pin. (Also a great idea to do with your kids).
Hotel or guesthouse surprise!
Reserve a room for one night without your spouse's knowledge. Tell him you would like to go to dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Check-in and get the key without letting him know. After eating tell him you want to go look at something on the rooftop and when the elevator stops at your floor surprise him by escorting him to your "love suite" for one night.
Even if you are very busy during the week a date night will make you stop and enjoy your spouse. Re-kindle your togetherness and love. This is very necessary for your marriage.
Share your positive experiences with your kids.
The best thing you can ever do for your kids is to stay together and show them how much you love each other. This gives them security and makes them feel safe. Tell them how you met and your first date. Share your special spots with them. Took them sometimes with to some of your special spots. Tell them why it is special to you. My mom and dad have a special song, and always when it plays I am thinking of them. Your positive experiences can also be a positive memory for your kids when they are grown up.
I am including my mom and dad's special song if you are older or a country fan, you might enjoy it.

Great to hear all these tips, i am not married but for sure these can prove really important tips for anybody. And yes, in busy life people stuck in work and sometimes fail to give quality time in their married life, and in many cases failing in quality times leads towards the issues in marriage, so to avoid all these issues, people should take time to spend the quality time to improve the relationship and bonding.
