Desert Mentality : Part II# Lazy and irresponsible

Everyone must have a responsibility in life. Responsibility in work, household, study, and in many ways, according to the role and function of each person. God entrusted to each of us different responsibilities.Responsibility is our response to God's ability. Responsible is to respond to the opportunities that God has placed in front of us.

Let's look at one example in the Bible.

Genesis 11:31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

God gave responsibility to Abram's father by giving him the opportunity to go to Canaan. But Abram chose to stop only at Haran and settle there. It is easy enough for us to rejoice when God first speaks to us and gives us the opportunity to do something. But like Terah, we often never finish what we started because there may be many things or challenges ahead of us.
Many believers do as Terah does, leaving one place but settling in the street to be tired or bored, they want to finish the journey but really do not want all the responsibilities associated with it.

Like the Israelites are reluctant to accept responsibility for anything. Moses prayed for them, he sought God for them he even did repentance for them when they had trouble (Exodus 32: 1-14). Indeed personal responsibility can not be delegated to others.

Exodus 32:30-32 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.
And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.
Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

Reluctance to assume responsibility can be due to ** lazy mindset **. People who should always be encouraged by others will never do any great work. They only do the right thing only when seen by others.
We must realize our life with God, that He sees all and that our reward will come from Him if we are faithful to the responsibilities He has entrusted to us.
Do not be afraid of responsibility. If we just want to do the easy thing, we will always stay in a weak state. God expects us to take responsibility for taking care of everything He gives us to do with it that will bear good fruit. If we do not use the gifts and talents He has given us, we are not responsible for the things that He has entrusted us.

Matthew 25 tells a parable of three servants who have given the talent of his master. The master then goes to a distant country while expecting his servants to take care of his property while he is away. The person who is given five talents uses it and gets five extra talents. People who are given two talents also do the same. But one who has one talent keeps him on the ground because he is very afraid. When his master returned, he praised the two servants who had received the talents and had developed them. But to the servant who harbors his talents and does nothing he says "O you, the evil and lazy servant" his master then orders one talent and gives it to the one who has ten talents and the lazy servant is severely punished.
Do not be afraid of responsibility. Let's learn to surrender our fear is not our responsibility. God gives us what we ask of Him, but He also wants us to be responsible according to the blessings we receive. The spirit of laziness may attack our thoughts and feelings, but we must remember that we have the mind of Christ. we must recognize the devil's tricks that suppress our feelings. ** Asking for something is easy, responsible for it is the part that develops character. ** ***So, take responsibility! ***
