Do not let God wait in your room
Greetings to the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, community of SteemChurch, christian-trail and parishes of the Church of Steem @sc-g, @sc-n @sc-v.
Having a time alone with God is essential to the life of every Christian. I know that we all have different ways of entering the presence of the Lord to pray, read the Word and converse with our best friend, which is something extremely wonderful!
It is that moment when we separate everything and everything, went to a quiet place and are not moments dedicated alone with our God. I know that some of us (I even) already had those phases in life where we think that only one prayer before sleep is enough, that we do not need to stop our daily activities to sit down, read the Bible and pray.
But, they believe: we need and A LOT of that. I have discovered wonders in the presence of the Father in that time of devotion that I never discovered in my 5 minutes of prayer "to sleep."
Jesus himself taught us: But you, when you pray, enter your room, and close the door, pray to your Father who is in secret. (Matthew 6.6) We need that time with our heavenly Father! Only then will we find the strength to walk in that earthly life.
Just as we prepare ourselves for any activity, we have to prepare ourselves to enter into the presence of our God, He is important! He does come first!
In the same way we look forward to finding someone special, such as a friend, a boyfriend or maybe even a trip that you anxiously await for the day to arrive, so we have to wait every day to meet our God. It can not be forced or imposed. Communion with God is one thing we must wait anxiously, as the psalmist says: My soul longs for the Lord, more than the keepers in the morning (Psalm 130: 6).
We live by faith, therefore, a time alone with God must be imbued with faith. We must believe that He will help us through the Holy Spirit, hear our prayer and also talk with us. So, beloved, if you have not yet experienced that moment alone with God, I invite you to experience. I'm sure you will not regret it! Stay in the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Excellent messege brother, Jesus himself taught us: But you, when you pray, enter your room, and close the door, pray to your Father who is in secret. (Matthew 6.6)
