I would say both.Let me explain if you don't have faith then you can't do the work well or without faith work is meaningless. If you have faith but you don't act according to your faith then it's not gonna be work.So faith with work is makes it meaningful. If you have faith in helping people but when people need your help if you don't work at that time how does it going to count.I think you got mt answer.Thank's for the post.@upvoted and resteemed
Faith without works is dead,in other words we move by faith and not by sights,we see what Christ has done for us and move out to do the things placed before us,so we have to put our faith to work and not just sit doing nothing, faith is action.
Well we cannot reconcile this two elments of christian life, we cannot do so because they are aredy in peace. Surely we are not save by works but by faith alone but a saved person who has been bought by the grace througth faith do works, no becasue it has to but because he needs to. Wha i'm trying to say is a person who has faith has works but it may not be the other way around.
Faith is a necessary condition but not a sufficient condition. You must feel your faith and act accordingly to it. Remember that The Lord knows all. Bless you.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. -Ephesians 2:8
We are saved by grace to produce good works. The good works then becomes the results of faith and a proof that indeed faith does exist in us.

Each has its place - so long as they are kept in their proper place.
There is no faith without work. Abraham was know as a father of faith due to his work. Thanks for the reminder brother @coolbowser.
