The Lord Cares For You
If responsible parents have good plans for their children and make provision for their present and future holistic needs, how about our God, who created us in his own image and likeness ? He will surely care for our present and future needs. Jesus declares in the gospel according to luke: ''Which of you fathers, if your son ask for fish, and will give him a snake instead? Or if he ask for an egg, and will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gift to your children, how much more your father in heaven give the holy spirit to those who ask him?" (luke11:9-13-NIV).
Zion complained that the lord hard forsaken and forgotten her, yet the lord assured her that he cares. Even in her apostate state, the lord still cared. It is not likely that a nursing woman will forget her child and not have compassion on him/her. Even if she does, God says that he will not forsake Zion. God assured her of his compassion and safety.
let us also not that this unchanging God still cares for us. He will never forget and forsake us. He will protect and preserve us as we go about our scared and secular assignments. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, even now and and forevermore(Psalm 125:2). Peter, the apostle, admonishes us to cast all our anxieties, cares and troubles to God, because he cares for us.
