Thank God, We Are Alive

The Psalmist said in Psalm 92:1-2 that it is good thing to thank the lord for his loving- kindness in the morning and his faithfulness in the night. Yes, it is good thing to thank the lord because our eyes have seen the glorious year 2018. The fact that we are alive is a sign that there is hope for us in the year 2018. Being alive is also an indication that God has not finished dealing with so far as his promise, plans and purposes for the year are concerned.

Today's reading remind us that since we are alive, there is hope for us in the year 2018. If a man dies all his plans, visions, dreams, missions, and aspirations in life comes to an abrupt end. Joseph's brothers knew they wanted to kill him so that his dreams and God's purpose for his life will be cut off, but the lord preserved his life.

Thankfully, we are alive and our eyes have seen the year 2018. Even if things did not go well as expected in the past years, there is still opportunity to do them again. It could even be that all the struggles, challenges, mistakes and the success in the past years have shaped us to be the kind of person God wants us to be today.

As we start this year, reach out to God's hand and his word and step into your future without fear. Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the lord is risen upon you. Strengthen yourself, put on the garment of righteousness, praise and boldness and pursue your God-given destiny and assignment. Have a happy and glorious New Year.
