IMPORTANCE OF THE WORD OF GOD
What important things do we need to do to cultivate the growth and development of our spiritual lives?
Spending time in reading and studying the word of God that transmits the Bible is what will make the difference in the growth and development of our spiritual lives, not only in the present but also in our future. Joshua 1: 8 tells us: Always recite the book of the law and meditate on it day and night; Carefully he fulfills everything that is written in it. So you will prosper and you will succeed.
It is necessary to remember that when we spend time in reading and studying the word of God, we are giving space and space in our lives to carry out his work in us. The result of doing this will not only impact our personal lives, but also the lives of those we love.
Deuteronomy 11: 18-21 says: Therefore, you shall put these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you get up, and write them on the posts of your house, and on your doors; that your days may be, and the days of your children, so numerous on the land that the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven on earth.
It will also impact the lives of those around us, we will be used by Him to act as agents of change in favor of the work of the Kingdom of God. God is so faithful and powerful that he challenges us by telling us to take us to impact nations and conquer territories.
Deuteronomy 11: 22-24 says: ... carefully observe all these commandments that I prescribe for you to fulfill, and if you love the LORD your God, walking in all his ways, and following him, Jehovah will also drive out before you to all these nations, and you will dispossess great nations and more powerful than you. Every place that the sole of your foot treads will be yours; from the desert to Lebanon, from the Euphrates River to the western sea will be your territory.
"All this will be possible, and much more, if we give importance to the word of God."
Spending time in reading and studying the word of God will help us cultivate the growth and development of our spiritual lives, causing us to get closer and to know Him more and the purpose He has for all of us. In the heart of God there is a great desire for all and it is the following; Beloved, I wish you to prosper in all things, and to be healthy, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1: 2
