To live in the fullness of the kingdom is to fully live in a manner governed by love.
This came to me prophetically this morning as I cried out to God: To live in the fullness of the kingdom is to fully live in a manner governed by love.
What does love look like? What does kingdom life look like?
- Love never gives up.
- Love cares more for others than for self.
- Love doesn’t covet from others what it doesn’t have.
- Love doesn’t strut about,
- Doesn’t have a swelled head,
- Doesn’t force itself on others,
- Isn’t always “me first,”
- Doesn’t fly off the handle,
- Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
- Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
- Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
- Puts up with anything,
- Trusts God always,
- Always looks for the best,
- Never looks back,
- But keeps going to the end. (1 Cor. 13 Mess.)
This is the kingdom transformation I’m unrelentingly pursuing–will you join me? Assignment: find someone in your sphere of influence today and be intentional to exercise love towards him or her. Christ is King.
Correct. Love never gives up and Keeps going to the end. That is the way we should love our neighbor, as Christ commanded.
Amen.
