Hopelessly and helplessly
Groping in sin like a prelude
We needed a man to pay in full
Man was a debtor, he needed salvation
He was slowly heading to degeneration
God looked through the windows of heaven
And saw to the lands of the living
Man had been battered
Though he ate bread that was unleavened
Somehow, somewhere he needed a redeeming

In Bethlehem one night God gave a son
To serve as a sun to all who come
He gave a child to redeem the falls
And a resource to pay the debt in full

He went to prepare a place
For us for all eternity
He died for our sins
Paying the penalty
Crucified on the cross of calvary

We celebrate easter
Which is the legacy of Christ
With no interruption from the Antichrist
Today we are filled with pleasure
His power at work in us without measure
And one day we'll be with him
For all eternity when we get our heavenly promotion

We don't owe a dime!
So let's shout for joy and chime!
For my dear, he paid in full for our crime!
