Rowing at Shichahai to Watch the Sunset
On a whim yesterday, I decided to row a boat at Shichahai to catch the sunset, and the timing turned out to be perfect. Here's a brief timeline to share:
6:30 PM: Arrived to queue, which took about 30 minutes.
After purchasing tickets, we boarded the boat and rowed westward. Passing under the bridge and continuing for a few dozen meters, the sunset came into view.
7:25 PM: The sun dipped behind the mountains.
7:30 PM: The sun disappeared entirely.
At this moment, the fiery clouds along the horizon kept shifting, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
7:45 PM: The cover-worthy pink and purple hues of the burning clouds appeared. Looking back to the east, the sky transformed into a dreamy blue-pink gradient.
After enjoying the view, we rowed for a bit longer and returned to the dock just within the one-hour limit. Deposits were refunded with the ticket, and the total cost was 150 yuan.
Budget Tip: Head to the bridge at Shichahai around 7:20 PM to capture the sunset for free.
