More censorship on media in China - 25 July 2016
The Chinese governement has ordered the biggest online portals of China (Sina, Sohu, NetEase and iFeng) to stop publishing independent news reports.
Earlier in July, republishing news coming from social media had been forbidden. In february, President Xi Jinping stated that journalists must give absolute loyalty to the Communist Party (BBC).
The pressure on media has increased as the next Communist Party congress is scheduled in one year. Some Chinese journalists already said they will try to work "under the radar".
Steem can be an answer to this censorship. The blockchain cannot be censored.
