That was really interesting. It definitely shows that the more the government puts its foot down on anything, the more likely whatever it is (gambling/drugs) will have an opening in the black market. The American government definitely has its own issues w criminalizing harmless "crimes" (like smoking pot).
Well from what I can tell America (well or at least Germany) is also way stricter when it comes to regulating the everyday live. The laws might be more reasonable but the way they are enforced is more restrictive.. China is also scared due to the Opium Wars when it comes to drug policies.
