I have a friend who is from Spain and not only is she an amazing salsa dancer she also speaks seven different languages. She's lived in China for one year and already is fluent in Chinese. Chinese people love her not only because she's a hot mama, but because her loveable personality and thoughts can translate well in almost any language. Here are some tips she shared with me in addition to studying hard everyday. **Sex is even involved with one 😉:

-Invest in a language learning program Pimsleur is an excellent language learning program and seems to be the people's choice while learning a language quick and on the go. Even the FBI uses Pimsleur to learn languages in route to other countries. http://nyti.ms/2ukQewO

  • Don't associate with only foringers- If you visit any foreign country and rarely associate with the locals there, you will immensely miss out on really cool words and phrases that language programs don't teach you. Submerging into a culture is also a good option but simply having a Chinese friend to frequently hang out with is just as good.

  • Get a Chinese girlfriend/boyfriend- If your friend is the opposite sex, sometimes your friendship can become closer, deeper and hotter. This is an excellent opportunity to intimately learn more from each other. She/he may even be interested in learning your language better as well. If your friend is the same sex as you, go to social events with them and make sure they introduce you to their hot friends.

  • Practice with taxi drivers- While living in China you'll be traveling a lot of places by taxi or Didi (Chinese Uber) and what's better than sitting silently besides the driver than practicing Chinese with the driver? Taxi drivers, apartment building guards and anyone you see on a daily basis are also excellent practice buddies.

  • Teach English to Children- China has a huge teaching community in China and like Starbucks, you'll often see an English school for kids on every corner. These school are almost ALWAYS looking for a Foreigner to teach English to their kids. Beginner words like "red", "dog" and "up" will often be translated by a Chinese assistant in your class for the children. These beginner words will be great for you to absorb and retain. Children also speak very simple Chinese which is great for developing your listening skills. Before you know it you'll be having conversations with children, Taxi drivers and hot Asian lovers in no time.

Good tips. The taxi drivers and my students were big ones for me. The kids speak really clearly and slowly so it's easy to pick up on things. Taxi drivers just love to talk, though some of them have thick accents. Where you living in China?
