Zhujiajiao ancient town is located in Qingpu district, Shanghai, China.
This palace is typical jiangnan water town ancient town, the streets and waterway crisscross in alleys, the environment is very elegant. There are many scenic spots, such as gardens and historic sites, as well as many traditional special snacks and small shops, which are the first place to visit the ancient towns around Shanghai.

Zhujiajiao ancient town is not big, visiting the ancient town just need to walk, take the time roughly half a day. After entering the ancient town from the south entrance, we will first come to Zhuxi garden and the Humanities gallery. Zhuxi garden is a small and exquisite garden which is now free to open. The humanities gallery is a unique and modern white architecture, which is used to record the local history and culture of zhujiajiao in the form of oil paintings and sculptures.

After the Humanities gallery, came to North street. It is also known as "first-line street", is the most complete building of Ming and qing buildings on the outskirts of Shanghai. The whole length is probably over2 kilometre, it’s east start to Fangsheng bridge, west to Meizhou. There are bustling visitors walk here, a lot of snacks in the street shops, the famous “Grandma zongzi, Ancient town sweet soup balls , Sauce pig's feet, Bundle stewed meat, along with a variety of exquisite cakes can eat here.

Standing on the Fangsheng bridge, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of zhujiajiao ancient town and Dianshan lake. Take a walk along the river, or find a place to take a break and have a cup of green tea, it is a very agreeable enjoyment.

In fact, the best time is to go there at ninght, to get a taste of the beautiful old town under the sunset, have supper by the river, then to appreciate the beautiful night scenery of Zhujiajiao. This avoids both the passenger flow peak and appreciate the most beautiful ancient town.
