Good morning my dear steemians outhere how is your tuesday morning going, hope you guys are keeping it posted, ypur gurl @dhorllypee is here again as usual to write on the topic above. Children hawking is really a child abuse by our parents, ordering and sending our parents to hawk goods on their head on the street which is absolutely wrong, most people that involve their children into this are mostly the ones that dont have money to send their kids to school, the father is not working same thing with the mother and their only means of survival is to send their children hawking or also create little job for themselves e.g frying akara, selling little ingredients for just a means to survive. The children really want to be like their mates that usually go to school, but just because of this issue of poverty.
ISSUES THAT LEADS TO CHILDREN HAWKING
- Poverty
- Bad upbringing
- Bad ideas
- Enviromental problems
- Lack of having related families and friends to assist
- Lack of management in the home
- Non-challant attitude
- Bad home training
- Ill-mannered character
- Low self esteem
This issues of children hawking is really a rampant issue in our country today, you cant go abroad today and see little children buying and selling but it is done in Nigeria. The children are our leaders of tomorrow but parents out there take it the other way round by using our children in other to huzzle for money. Please parents outhere lets teach our children the right way not the wrong way, teaching them in the wrong way can affect them in the future, most of our children hawking today wish to be like other children that goes to school but when the opportunity is not there.
IN CONCLUSION
My dear steemians, we ourselves can actually work hand in hand join head together to make things mov and stop the issue if children hawking because to me it is not normal it is really abnormal for a little child to be hawking on the streets, serious dangers can happen to the child when trying to sell. Hawking is child labour and should be discouraged. however, the commonest cause cause of labour is poverty. Parents give their children out to wicked guardians because they donot have the resources to train those children, the guardians out of sheer wickedness subjects those abuse by sending them to hawk in the street thereby subjecting them to danger. The way out is for government to initiate free education and provide job opportuniies so that everybody will be gainfully employed. This will reduce the child abuse

It's sad....i was also a victim of this duirng my tender age, but mine was due to poverty, not all other criteria you listed..... It's turned blessing today. All glory to the Almighty. Lesson learned back then. if Nigeria population is 10, i think 8 are hawkers, either directly or indiretly....to my knowlwdge, i didn't see anything bad in hawking, but the way its operated is the main problem. Some firms in developed countries hawk, but their startegy is the only thing we lack here in Nigeria. Excellent Vigilance....
