Free labor

When I purchased my property there were so many trees in the backyard that I had no grass and land covered in moss. The trees were placed close together so they were fighting for sun so they were really tall with thin trunks. I removed a lot of the trees to get more sunlight onto the ground and the moss died back and the weeds took over. This summer having the meat birds I wanted to use them in a chicken tractor to thin the weeds to bare earth so I can plant grass. They are doing a great job so far and this is the patch they have cleared so I started planting grass in steps as they go. Free labor from the chickens and no work needed from me.
