I loved this!!! Not only are you focused on your own goals, but you've also made part of your goal about wanting to help others too. That's so admirable - it reveals your character! :) I appreciate that!
It seems like the second question is a random one - but it really does help to see if your goal aligns with your heart! And yours does!!!! Someone who is concerned for others and their growth will obviously enjoy commenting and curating! (I also LOVE commenting - but I think, as someone whose passion is writing - posting is my first love hehehe)
If you're still looking for another community - I humbly offer a suggestion - our buddyUP channel :) One of the best things about buddyUP (in my opinion) is there is an automated bot that connects you with one other person for 2 days. You can do it as often as you like! I love it because it provides an opportunity for you be intentional about really attempting to know someone in that time frame. All of my past buddies have remained my friends after our "partnering". Plus - @calumam has a heart like yours!
Regarding the contest... what kind of contest are you wanting to do? :)
and you're the third person, (I think?) that mentioned they want to support themselves full time in one year's time. I'm curious - what does that mean to you? You don't have to tell me an amount or anything hahahaa - but does that mean a weekly powerdown in the hopes that your earnings will offset the amount that you're drawing off? (I know that's what I would like to do at some point - but I'm not sure if that's what everyone means?)

Contests and Challenges ?? I think most will be Challenges. And I want to try to think of some creative ones. Like 'take a selfie with a stranger day' ( okay maybe that is a little extreme and could be scary lol) but something out of the box thinking.
Full time ?? Yes just maybe taking sbd and converting to Steem and then cashing out ( not real sure how to do it as haven't done that yet) . And leaving half of it to SP and keep building that up.
hahahahaha selfie with a stranger day - will be followed by the newest challenge "selfie with the ER doctor after the stranger knocked your teeth out"

and i agree with your full time plan. I think that's what I would love to do as well. I don't want to power down everything and run. hahahaha but i would like to draw some out to benefit from the financial boost! :)
