Community Service - "Slippers of Joy"

During our last supplemental feeding we found out numerous children and youth doesn't have any slippers with them.
We notice several children have injuries on their foot. And their foot are the vehicle to carry them to the schools. Their foot is their transportation carrying agricultural goods and supplies to the market.
To address this problem the group of volunteers created a donation drive to accumulate numbers of slippers for the children and youth of the community to minimize children injury at the same time reducing the risk of having lower body impaired particularly the foot and their legs.
The group coordinate with their friends, family members, colleagues, and online groups to gather the enough resources to accommodate the number of children and youths who needs slippers in their daily travel to schools and work in the farm and market.
The group of volunteers were able to build up the needed slippers to the children and youths.
On the day of delivery two groups of volunteers were busy cooking a meal to the children and piling up the slippers to be given to the children and youth.
During the distribution the joy in their hearts were overwhelming that children happily say thank you a dozen times while jumping around joyfully rejoicing the humble gift shared with them.
All children and youth were given. The extra slippers were given to the patiently waiting adults who were also wanting to have a slippers for themselves.
The activity went well. Everyone went home happy and tummy full.
We would like to thank all individuals who are kind enough to share their blessings to the people in need particularly the children.

The feeling is so nice when you are able to paint a smile on someones' face. I hope and pray that more and more people will be willing to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
