I appreciate the vote of confidence! I’m admittedly rather overwhelmed, yet bolstered by the idea of an online community that demonstrates something of the goodness of humanity. I realize there’s a lot of underhanded ugliness on here — just as everywhere else — but it already feels so much less oppressive than most forums. • Thank you for raising good humans. I’ve gathered that! Where else are people incentivized to bolster each other rather than compete — to be engaging and sincere rather than passive and snarky? I’m only 4 days in, but I’ve been reminded of how Friendster felt in its early days, when I was genuinely excited by all the new connections I was making. I suspect Steemit has far better staying power than all those fledgling SM experiments. At least....I certainly hope so!
