MAHAK strongly supports the parents of the children suffering from cancer. With support from MAHAK, parents can concentrate on the treatment of their children and the children, themselves, change their concern from a grim current condition to a joyful hope for a better future. MAHAK ensures that children with cancer are never refused treatment due to poor financial status.

As an organization with a noble motive to help fellow human beings, our mission is defined ;

The organization concentrates on children with cancer at a national and international level in the three domains of charity, treatment and research. Our mission is to completely support children with cancer and their families with the aid of the Charter of Patients’ Rights, new and efficient methods, the latest achievements of medical science, and the most up to date diagnostic, treatment and prevention methodologies.
MAHAK is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental charity organization supported by fundraising and humanitarian assistance in the form of money, goods, services and technical expertise. The volunteers and staff at MAHAK strive to fulfill the humanitarian goals of the organization. Besides caring for the children with cancer, MAHAK promotes noble motives for assisting humanity. Transparency, trust and accountability are the most valued principles at MAHAK.

Our hope is that MAHAK’s achievements will be utilized as criteria for evaluating similar institutions at national and international levels. MAHAK aims to be a unique organization that is placed among the top ten organizations throughout the world.

Code of Ethics

Here at MAHAK, the Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer, recognizing our responsibility to be accountable to our patients, families, employees and the community, we have adopted the following charter:

1- Commitment to our vision and mission: We are committed, and have been since the early years of our founding, to funding and supporting every child with cancer and their respective families.

2- Dedication to the values of transparency and accountability in all aspects of operation: We adhere to these vital values by holding ourselves to the highest standards in our conduct.

3- Provision of facilities and treatment to all patients and their families without discrimination: All patients have equal access to our services and facilities regardless of nationality, race, creed or financial ability.

4- Compliance with international standards: MAHAK received the Société Generale de Surveillance (SGS) Verified Certificate for NGO Benchmarking in November 2007, being the first non-governmental organization in the Middle East to do so.

5- Financial accountability: Our biennial and other periodic reports inform the public and MAHAK staff of the generous contributions from our donors and sponsors and the manner in which they are allocated in our health care and support services, as well as our operational expenditures.
