Charitable deeds, let's crowd-fund for kids in Bangladesh, fruits and snacks every week, nr. 52

Well, it has finally come, a year of me working with this project! 52 weeks and that is how many are in a year. All liquid SBD and STEEM from this post will still go to the @SchoolForSDG4 project but the STEEM power will stay in my (@lindahas) account.

Hello, hello! I have been away! On holiday, at home, spending time with my brother and meeting some of my old classmates. You might have caught a whiff of it in one of my last posts! I did mention it briefly to give a warning of disappearance. I am also going to try and post regularly for the next 10 days as after there is a wedding I am attending and I am tasked with the duty to make some great photos and show them off to you, guys!

I have some unfinished business and you may have noticed that in these posts for the school I share some personal grains form my life as the rest of my posts are mostly fictional. I want to show you some of my Canary island adventures that I have to work on a little more with as there is a video that needs making. I am also seeing much more of the outdoors in the summer and therefore my work is all over the place at times :D I am trying to travel as much as I can with my limited means and I can say to all that aspire to go places but have little to no money, it is possible but there can't be excuses. It helps if you have friends or family abroad and a bed is made for you and waiting.

It has been a full year of me being here and now, it is a full year of me writing for the charity. I am very happy with what has been achieved and I think I need to set up a new goal. I have been watching from the sidelines for a while now and it has been amazing to be able to help as one of my life goals was always to help others. I had this naive dream as a child, to build better orphanages and give the love to the kids that lived there and missed out on it as workers in these places(in my country) are not supposed to form bonds with the kids, especially the little ones. These days, I do not think that my dream is naive. I used to but not anymore. Now I know that anything is possible if you are willing and determined. I have learned that from Mohammed (@Azizbd).

This charity has fed some of my deepest desires to leave a positive mark on the world and do my best to be positively proud of my imprint on life. But it is not nearly enough of what I want to do so I am intending to and setting goals to travel to Bangladesh myself and teach in the school if possible, for at least a month. And it would be next year. Even though I have struggled with my goals of earning this year, I have a conviction that this is possible and I am certain that it will become reality. Now, the thing to do is find out the visa requirements and everything that I need to prepare to live in the foreign country. The rest will be a cakewalk.

Also, as I said before, I have a laptop that I do not use. It is small but efficient as it has not been dealt with for a while. I intend to bring it to the school with me and leave it to the kids as it will have more use there than with me. It also should ease the strain on the only computer that the school has thus far. And the kids are going to have more devices and won't have to wait in such a long line to use them.

I am yet to put a date on my trip as I have had a lifelong dream to go to Egypt first and see the Pyramids before we as humanity lay waste to them completely. I know that I will take that trip in the following year but I have no date yet as I buy my trips in packages where they are much more affordable. The second I know, I will tell you. Also, those living in Bangladesh, when is the best time to go? When is the weather the nicest? When is the flood season not in effect? And what are the best means of transportation? Share some bits with me about your country, I would love to find out more before going! And, travelers, share your experiences of travel to this mysterious place! I will love to read your thoughts and tips as well as tricks to know!

This week the kids had bananas during the fruit program. They look different from the ones we have here, in Europe. Shorter and thicker. I wonder if they are sweeter, too? Like Small Canarian bananas. Those are the best! I also wait to get to try all the treats in fruits they have that we do not. How local fruit tastes differently from ours. If their snacks are less polluted and pumped with chemicals?

I love new cultures and I think both, me and the kids, would have a huge culture-shock if we met. They do not know me and yet somehow I know them quite well by now. I am terrible with names and have not learned many beyond the two Al-Amin's I know but I remember faces and those frequently show up in a picture after picture. A year of changes in faces. A year of learning and growing up.

The school has also been picked up by the funditin initiative. You can find a post about it on their website here. I had mentioned it before but it might not be a thing that you all know about. Also, I found it a very great way to say ''thanks'' to the project the way that the kids did, by making that banana ''Fundition'' picture. It is fun and sweet at the same time and it just had to go on top of the post as I think I would have enjoyed the activity a great deal of making the word.

I know I wrote quite a lot this time. I had a year of extra little stuff on my shoulders. I love doing this thing every week and it brings me immense pleasure to do something that is not completely for me. Sometimes it might seem that I am in a hurry and I am some of these times. But I do not intend to neglect this self-implemented duty. I might have posted a day late here and there and mostly in the last months(3 times) but it was always with a reason. I did not want to have a rushed post so I postponed my work when needed. I will try to not miss my Fridays but human factor always plays a part and if you do not find a post here, on Friday, about the charity, you can be sure it will be up on Saturday.

Thank you for staying with me for so long. And joining in whenever you can. Thank you for all the amazing things done together and thank you for never giving up! Stay strong! I know I will as much as I can.
