RE: 100% of this Post's Rewards to Charity #1 ~ I Will Be Donating My SBD, Liquid STEEM and SP From Post Payouts Indefinitely

in #charity7 years ago

Flagging civilians is what started all this mess. Why can't you handle criticism like other whales do? Did I flag your buddy when he said my comment was the dumbest thing he ever read? No, I did not , because I try to make peace whenever possible. We can all get much more done if we just cooperate with one another.

If some Red Fish/Minnow/Dolphin critiques your work and you flag them to negative rep, unfortunately, I will have no choice but to start up my campaign once again. This is because their flags aren't even spit balls compared to your atomic bombs nor are their words even seen if they're downvoted ...

I appreciate your initiation for these negotiations. May we all acquire peace here in Steem Land.

I will disable my flags+comments for 24-48hrs to see how this experiment goes ...

Sort:

Well Done.
The argument of innocent civilians can be carried out ti'll the world ends. No point in pursuing that.

Your spam comment removal during the 24 hour experiment would be ideal. This way, my follower can comment freely and no resort to private chats.

Ok, just for clarification:

Are you willing to use your other account to the benefit of the community a few times a day?

And trolling/spamming/downvotes against you will (most likely) permanently stop. Actually you'd become a Hero! xo

*I had to edit in most likely because as I've realized, there will always be people that will disagree with us no matter what.

I've consistently said that once downvotes, cease, I can redeploy much of my votes to others. As you can see, I'm dealing with many others besides you and fulltimegeek.

As long as others downvote, I will counter with self upvotes. Thus, its these downvoters who prevent my votes from going to the community.

I will admit, I never thought I would stop getting flagged by Haejin. But I did do some things that he didn't like. He has kept his peace treaty with me for a month now.

I have also seen him give others upvotes that I haven't seen him give before. All you can do is at least try. He has stated what he would like done. If you do that & he keeps flagging, that would make him look really bad.

I have been able to do other things on Steemit now & not worry about everything getting flagged.

People should be able to speak their opinions, and not have their accounts nuked.

@thabiggdogg,

Let me get this straight.

The entire time we had worked together was all because of your personally getting down voted by @haejin and nothing about reward pool abuse or the bigger picture of whale voting behavior. I thought we were trying to set an example.

Guess we really had a different set of ideals after all.

Nope... Remember the time I got bitched out at because I used your service towards @JerryBanfield's scammy shit. There are plenty of other whales abusing Steemit. And if you want "Whale" voting fixed that is up to witnesses... those fuckers need to fix steemit. You should be flagging those fuckers. Flagging @JerryBanfield, Flagging all witnesses that will not fix steemit. Your focus is 100% Haejin.

Yes, I do remember and @jerrybanfield would possibly make a good candidate for future flag campaigns if he continues to boost bullshit posts (recommending incredibly dense things like removing flags from the blockchain consensus for example) but there is a time and place for everything.

Are you aware of the Spartans? Do you understand why they chose to fight the Immortals in the gates of Thermopylae? It's because they had a vastly numerically superious force and fighting one in one in a narrow pass would minimize that disadvantage.

It would be foolhardy for the anti-abuse community to oppose all manipulative whales at the same time. Do you think a concurrent @haejin and @jerrybanfield campaigns would be smart?

If so, you must be smoking that good shit.

I'm not on Steemit for History Lessons...

Edit: 4 days no answer, I guess I will take that as a no.

There would need to be some time to get the word out, to be able to do this.

I see you used the other account to vote on this post, and thank you so much, @familyprotection will really be benefitted by that. That to me is a show of faith and trust, that you are being truthful about wanting to be a part of the community. That you care. We care about this place, the health of the ecosystem, we want it to last for the long term. Like I said before, practically everyone I know would embrace you with open arms if they felt you cared about the STEEM blockchain.

Do you have any ideas on how we could begin a permanent peace?

I have an idea:

What if you showed that you are serious by extending the olive branch. I guarantee you that within a week or two all downvoting of your posts will have ended. I believe you would end up in the long run making way more money and followers and be a real strong mentor/figure in our awesome world here on the STEEM blockchain.

If you initiate it (the olive branch), I will raise money for you to try and compensate for the damage of the flags during the transition period!

You have my word.

Can you imagine the wonders it would do for this platform if more minnows, dolphins and whales upvoted some plankton. It could make their day or even their year.

This is not charity. It's investing in the content creators and community of this platform.

Without anyone to produce and read the content on this platform, all the STEEM we are trying to maximise via self votes/bots will be worthless

#upvoteplankton

@kabir88

Here's my new blog about this initiative. I hope some of you will join me. Maybe even @haejin if he really is community minded

https://steemit.com/upvoteplankton/@kabir88/upvoteplankton-my-new-initiative

I resteemed it, hopefully the tag catches on. Maybe once it does you can make a twice weekly post rounding up the best of the plankton posts you've curated, that way it would be easy for everyone to find the best of the best and upvote it.

Sounds like a cool idea.

For now we just need a few people to go and #upvoteplankton, hopefully that will create enough momentum.

I won't have time at the moment to do full curation, but there are enough people doing that.

I would just like to see some votes go to the new and small account holders.

With Binance opening Fiat/Crypto exchange in Uganda, we can expect more people all around the world want to earn money via earning Steem.

What you do here is very easy to be critical of. You control the Ranchorelaxo account and upvote yourself with it for MASSIVE profits. This in and of itself is not bad, but leaves you open to further scrutiny on your rewards. That is not a bad thing. It's good for all of Steem. There can be no agreement going forward that you will not be criticized because we are not a single unit. There will always be people to call you out...as there are for any of us.

I give no shit about what you think. So quit trying to get your comments through. Muted!

That's fine. I'm just pointing out the fact that the agreement you're trying to get is like saying, "I won't kill anybody if you can guarantee that everyone will like me." We can't. There will always be people to criticize you. There will always be people who downvote you. That's life in general and especially on Steemit (or any other platforms).

And a major reason why people currently flag you is because of your over-the-top reaction to everyday life. This is not an attack but an attempt to convey to you a general perception that you may not realize. You don't need any "peace treaty". All you need to do is change the way you are generally perceived. That can be very easy. Here is some options:

  1. Use the rancho account to upvote initiatives that you would like to support.
  2. Do not return flags for people that flag you. Engage with them in discourse instead and if an agreement can't be reached, ignore them. (if they flag your followers, you can flag them back)
  3. Do not attack users with opinions about you. Defend yourself in dialog or simply ignore.
  4. Stop posting the two images and a disclaimer. They're low quality and are likely to lead to more flags.

Any of these could do wonders for your public image.

At least you tried to help...

In line with the current turn of events, @flagawhale Haejin flag and tank operations are suspended indefinitely.

I do suspect there are those that will still disagree with your rewards but you have expressed a willingness to finally arrive at a compromise which requires some degree of humility which should be acknowledged.

We will make a special campaign and outline the progress of this compromise to the community.

We will go after whale abuse in the future. (but hopefully not you as you have grown more formidable with your voting as we have experienced first hand.)
