Creating a new account fund focused on charities!
After contacting one of my local food charities in an attempt to convince them to join Steem and accept STEEM/SBD for donations it hit me...
The design of STEEM requires new accounts to not only be paid for with a gas tax, but also requires enough SP either given or delegated for the account to have any bandwidth and thus be able to post, reply, and engage otherwise! This leads to the signup delay we see! I already have discussed in previous posts about the big blockade for creating new accounts being the biggest obstacle for Steem to overcome!
So my solution to at least get the people that I know should be on ASAP, is I have begun personally paying for new accounts for people and charities that I know will take this serious and add value to the overall community!
I will be creating new accounts for selected charities and people who deserve a timely account using @deejcharitytrust!
If you would like to help please follow @deejcharitytrust and if you can, consider donating STEEM/SBD to @deejcharitytrust to help fund new account creation (Remember it costs around 5 SP to create and delegate enough to a new account to get someone started)!
My goal is to help get good steemians on board and not have them wait days or even weeks to be approved by steemit!

wow.. great idea.. perfect platform for philanthropic endeavors.. but what is surprising to me is the 15 views this post has with 707 up-votes.

I have a friend who I preached Steemit to. He decided to join but for 3 weeks now, his account is still yet to be approved. I know it will be approved someday but this is not something that anyone should experience. It's very discouraging. Therefore God bless you @bigdeej for offering to help others to be free from such a trauma. You are a rare gem

I found convincing someone to join was hard enough already, then them having to wait over a month potentially to begin was not going to work!
