30 Days Challenge Fall 2018 - Day Seventeen: Ten Years Of Bitcoin
Ten years ago, on this day, October 31st 2008, the legendary persona known as Satoshi Nakamoto released the Bitcoin whitepaper. In other words, Bitcoin turns ten today.
First of all, happy birthday! For a ten year old, you look awfully precocious, Bitcoin! Also, you still seem to be the most popular guy in the neighborhood, although other kids, STEEM included, are catching up fast.
Anyways, I was just thinking...
Without Bitcoin, there wouldn't be any STEEM.
And without STEEM, we will still flock around Facebook, like a bunch of Neanderthalians around fire, desperate to get a little bit of social interaction and giving away, in the process, our privacy, our behavioral corpus, our buying habits and a lot of other data, which, in turn, would make a bunch of other mischievous Neanderthalians richer.
For me, the gap between our current monetary system and what cryptocurrencies are offering is similar with the gap between Neanderthal civilization and current, modern cultures. And yet, many of us are still choosing to live as Neanderthalians, by lack of knowledge or fear of change.
In the grand scheme of things, ten year is nothing.
And yet, the disruption created in these ten years will rip apart our current world and send down ripples to every layer of our lives. We're still at the most superficial level of this disruption, which is trading, but I think there is a lot more to come.
Ten years ago, we were all hit by the Lehman Brothers event, without any chance of fighting back and even without thinking there is a way to fight back anyway.
Now, if another Lehman Brothers event will hit, at least some of us will know what to do.
Steem on!

This crypto industry is still too techie for mainstream adoption but little by little barriers are going away and Steem is helping a lot to attract the masses.
The only thing is missing in order to pass from Neanderthal age to modern age in crypto culture is education and lidership which are still very poor...but, it will arrive soon, the Blockchain age!
How many people thought BTC would be where it is today ten years ago? No one. Happy Day 17
Waoh, 10 years on and the blockchain is still waxing stronger.
am presently in SIN2 and the information doled out about the blockchain is so amazing.
Another financial crisis could rear its ugly head in the coming years and that could be great for adoption instead of being just all around bad for everybody like it was in the past

Happy birthday bitcoin
Do you remember btcc... went up and fucked up
I was not believing that in 7 months a coin will generate millions as btcc suggested
But bitcoin was great and still great.
It will stay live
Ever bitcoin live...ever steem lives
Why
As both are following natural S curve
Smooth up
Sharp south
But at the end right will fight
I love STEEM
AS I LOVE MY MOTHER
RESTEEMED
