Weekly Question - What's your Steem origin story?
Welcome to our Weekly Question Series - every week, @sndbox will publish a question designed to challenge and explore new ways of engaging the Steem blockchain.
The #SteemOrigins Challenge
What's your Steem origin story? How did you arrive here atop the social blockchain? Was it a friend, a google search (ahem sorry) a duckduckgo search? A forum or family member who first introduced you? Over the last couple years now, Steemians have arrived here for countless reasons and through countless pathways. This week, we're interested in learning more about yours!
For this question - we drew inspiration from @critday's Dpoll response last week! The poll drew a lot of engagement and interesting responses. Especially with Steem Fest (the years' largest crypto storytelling festival) around the corner, we're interested in learning more about you, how and why you're here?
What's your Steem origin story?

I found out about Steem and Steemit after a similar site I was on (tsu.co) shut down. Other members from that site started mentioning Steem/Steemit on Twitter , so I checked out.
I signed up for it but when my account was approved, I didn't do anything with it for 6 months, mainly because I wasn't convinced it would last. Finally, I decided to test it out. It's been interesting so far and I'm glad I stuck around.
