What if this year, we were to switch it up a little? To focus less on “resolution”, and more on EVOlution?

How bout we learn to lean less on our expectations, and more on appreciation?

What if the people who spent their time not liking us, instead chose to Love themselves more?

What if we were to get out of our heads?
To get out the way of our hearts?
To forgive, and to forget to regret?
To make the beds we’ve been laying and lying in, so we could go outside to PLAY, and to CREATE?

To comprehend that competition is nothing more than a societal construct, created with the intent of keeping us on our hamster wheels.

What if we were to leave our pasts in the past? To leave our futures with our future?
And to give ourselves ‘today’, the present of the present?

To smile, instead of seethe.
To want, only our needs.
To brother, instead of bully.
To sister, and not deceive.

The year 2017 saw my return home from war. I left it all at the door. I lost a few rounds, but won so many more.

I knuckled up with alcoholism in the alley behind the bar, and kicked its punk, shit talkin’, drunken ass straight.

I courted and landed the hand of one of the most incredible women to ever walk on dry land.

I auditioned some new musicians, and built my life a better band.

I’ve got my first book “FEAST” coming out in early 2018. I’m working with some other worldly talents, and pre-sales have been unreal.

I’ve got an a-list abundance of Love and support, with a long level of gratitude to match. There’s been some real challenging years, Lord knows, but I’m finally here and at a pretty l’il level of peace with it all.

And I do wish for YOU, all the beautiful same.
May you get it, while knowing you already do.
