So then I assume that means you think that we'd still be trading equities in the future, but through blockchain technology instead of centralized systems.
How do you think this would prevent the unfair financial machinations you referred to? Wouldn't they just replicate it on the new system? Very curious.
Maybe someone can build a decentralized trading metwork where people can see what the biggies are doing instead of manipulating stuff in their own dark pools.

Ah I see what you mean. With the blockchain technology, all transactions would be broadcasted to the entire network, so there would be nothing to hide, like in dark pools.
But the dark pools want to remain hidden. Maybe they'll find a different medium of exchange to disguise it. Makes it complicated but given the stakes, worth it.
True. I have a feeling that the blockchain's banks are developing would enable such activities. They might not be the same as the community-driven blockchain's we're used to or are expecting.
