Relationship is one thing we easily get into through our everyday association with other people either online or physically . Relationships are created through

1. blood:

This is the kind of relationship that exists in a family. Family includes father, mother, siblings (through birth or adoption), cousins aunties, uncles etc)

Although families these days comes in different ways: we now have man and man family (gay), woman and woman family (lesbians), single parent - just to name a few.

2. Friendship:

This is the most volatile kind of relationship because it can change at any time. Relationship through friendship is created by mutual likes. Sometimes this kind of relationship could be a long distance relationship or virtual.

3. Casual relationship:

This type of relationship is created through everyday contact and interaction. As you walk pass someone you've met before or seen before, eye contacts are made and sometimes a kind smile.

4. Romantic relationship:

This is the kind of relationship that exist between lovers. Romantic relationships are mostly intimate and may be sexual.

With that understanding of the different types of relationships, it's good to know that The strength and maintainability of any of these types of relationship lies in the trust between the two people or group of people in that relationship.

Some relationship will only survive as long as trust is built and maintained through the following ways:

don't make promises you cannot fulfill :

Don't ever promise more than you can deliver, but always deliver more than you promise

Don't try to please your partner by making promises that will make them feel happy for now and sad tomorrow when you cannot fulfill your promises.

Before you make a promises , be sure that it's achievable and realistic.

lead by example:

The reality is that the only way change comes, is when you lead by example.

Inside everyone of us lies this hunger to make a change and in some places the question that always rise up in the hearts of people is "who's gonna start this change"?

Maybe you're living in an estate and the gate to the entrance of that estate is bad and no one is saying anything or doing anything about it, you shouldn't be like them.

You can fix it if you have the cash, if you don't have enough to fix it, just call one or two like minded people to join you.

Don't do it so people will see and say thank you, no! Do it because it's supposed to be done.

You might not get noticed immediately, but soon people will find out that all the bad computers in the office was fixed by you and your promotion will come.

If you can cause a change when you're not asked to, then you can be trusted to do even more when asked to.

admit your wrongs:

No one is perfect and we are currently working on being better than our yesterday. Accepting your wrongs is one way of gaining trust.

A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them

be extra careful in monetary transactions and don't forget to return the charge.

Several years ago I got a job that needed just $200 to fix and I miscalculated and wrote $210 instead of $200 as my budget.

When the calculations were made again the next day and $200 was the budget and I mistakenly wrote $210, I just didn't know how to start telling them that it was a mistake. I accepted my mistakes and apologized.

think before you speak:

Speaking before you think can lead to making statements that could ruin your reputation and make you lose trust.

Trust cannot be demanded, trust is earned. working on the points I just shared should help you build trust from your family, colleagues and friends.
