[MUST WATCH VIDEO] - HOLD MY HANDS DON'T LET ME DROWN: THE AFRICA'S MIGRANT CRISIS

in #chainbb-general7 years ago (edited)

This morning, a friend shared this video with me that got me thinking. It is about the Africa's migrant crisis at sea of Libya another African state.

Apart from the horrible experience at the sea, most of these migrants go through disheartening moments before finally reaching the sea for a journey that may end up being their last journey on earth.

One migrant explained how she was captured and sold into slavery by her captors in Libya. Another migrant narrated his ordeal with the Libyan coast guards, and how many migrants were murdered in cold blood by the guards.

The same coast guards that the European Union leaders are sending €200m ($215m, £171m) for reinforcing the guard. I guess they are paying them to kill more Black Africans.

Instead of the EU encouraging Libyans to kill more Africans, they can start initiatives that will help improve the lives of Africans. Most of these people risk their lives to go to Europe looking for a greener pasture.

Or invest in blockchain initiatives like Steemit that can help build a better and richer Africa. Europe owes Africa; our ancestors worked on their farmlands day and night without pay, they were molested by their masters.

But the only solution our former slave masters could think off is to pay a jaw breaking $215 million to Libyans to kill their fellow Africans.

My advice to all you Africans is to embrace blockchain technology which is a solution to our current leadership problem.

Embrace technology like Steemit, EOS, and other blockchain innovations and it shall be well with you.

If only those 2,119 people who died in 2016 had known about Steemit, they would have been alive today. May their soul rest in perfect peace.

This menace shows how irresponsible most governments are in Africa especially the Nigerian govt.

Seriously, it calls for one's concern..
