Discovering Stockholm

Hello fellow Steemians! Today I'm talking about my favorite part of the world again - Scandinavia! This time round we will be heading to Stockholm, Sweden.

Now Stockholm has suffered a traumatizing event lately, whereby a terrorist attack was made on a popular street in downtown Stockholm, leading to deaths and casualties. However, Stockholm is a wonderful city to visit and one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

Downtown Stockholm is actually very walkable from place to place and you can also do some island hopping on foot. The most famous island would probably be Gamla Stan - where thousands of tourists flock there on a daily basis to traverse the alleys in the old city.

The Stockholm metro is clean and efficient. It is also pretty safe and user friendly. Swedish people are generally very nice and would always greet you at the stores with a cheerful Hej hej! A good thing about Scandinavia is that language isn't a problem here. Almost everyone will be able to speak fluent English and are hospitable to foreigners. Definitely a reason to visit Sweden today!
